The 29-inch figure is frame depth. Compatible totes are about 30 inches deep and may overhang. Hardware, baseboards, studs, door tracks, floor level, and two-hand lift-and-removal clearance are checked before production.

What to know before we build.
How does a tote come out if the rack does not slide?
Grip both sides of the tote with two hands, lift the rim slightly, and pull the tote toward you. The wooden rails and frame stay fixed; no shelf or part of the rack slides out underneath.
What totes fit in the rack?
The rack is designed around black-and-yellow 27-gallon totes approximately 30 × 20 × 14 inches. Dimensions vary by brand and model, so send the exact outside dimensions or model before production and we’ll confirm the fit.
Does the rack need to be wall-mounted?
A stationary rack must be anchored to wall studs before use; drywall alone is not a structural anchor. A caster-equipped rack is not wall-mounted: keep it on a level surface, lock every caster before loading or removing a tote, use both hands on the tote, and move the rack only when every tote is removed.
How much weight can the rack hold?
Load limits vary by configuration, tote, and setup. We confirm the maximum weight per tote and total rack load in writing before production. Do not exceed those confirmed limits.
How do delivery and installation work?
Delivery is free in San Luis Obispo County, $50 to Santa Maria, and $100 to Santa Barbara or Goleta. Published fees cover delivery only. Assembly or anchoring service and its cost must be confirmed in writing before production. Ask about options outside these areas.
What is the lead time?
Most racks are planned for completion within 1–2 weeks after order confirmation. We provide the expected timing for your exact configuration before the build moves forward.
What does the warranty cover?
The 2-year structural warranty covers the wood frame and joinery against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Normal rail wear, misuse, water exposure, and damage from improper anchoring are excluded.
Can I add casters to any size?
Caster availability depends on the number of totes carried by each individual rack unit. The configurator disables casters when the selected layout exceeds the current eligibility rule. Final setup and load limits are confirmed before production.
How does pricing work?
The configurator shows the rack and selected add-ons as a products subtotal, then adds any published delivery fee as an estimate. Installation and applicable tax are not included in that estimate. We confirm the exact total in writing before sending a 50% products-deposit link.
Can I cancel a made-to-order rack?
The deposit is refundable before production begins, typically within 48 hours of ordering. Once materials have been purchased and cut for your configuration, the deposit becomes non-refundable. Read the full Refund Policy.
